Malý Berlín

Malý Berlín (Little Berlin) is an independent cultural center based in Trnava, industrial and university town near Bratislava. The centre has been opened in March 2018 after a 5 year-long reconstruction of the old townhouse in the historic downtown.

Its two halls host more than 300 events yearly, most of them are produced directly by the centre. The program is designed for all age groups and includes notably theatrical and dance performances, concerts, film screenings, literary events, conferences, discussions and educational events. Malý Berlín also organises its two own festivals – literary festival Ypsalon and music video festival YouTopia.

Malý Berlín is run by cultural organisation Publikum.sk founded in 2004. The organisation is currently active in topics of architecture and urbanism, curatorship, contemporary art and design. In addition to the cultural centre, the organisation operates a gallery, publishes books on architecture and carries out educational programs for people working in the arts and culture.
