Staff Exchange Programme
Since 2011, the TEH Staff Exchange Programme has created mobility opportunities for arts and culture professionals across borders to increase and foster professional development opportunities and knowledge exchange through action-based learning. The average stay of a person on exchange is 10 days, where they engage in a range of disciplines: management, PR, education, catering, graphic design, etc.
The main objectives of the Programme are:
1. Action learning is at the centre of work placements, where cultural workers have an opportunity to live and work in another organisation and country, shadowing and experiencing “hands-on” methodologies and practices.
2. To support networking as a means of mutual support for cultural professionals through cross-border dialogue, intercultural arts projects and the sharing of experiences, knowledge and skills.
The TEH Staff Exchange Programme is open to both employees and volunteers of Trans Europe Halles member centres. The exchanges are opportunities for peer-to-peer learning, including shadowing, hands-on activities, conversations and interviews, attendance of cultural programmes, etc. The duration and the topic of each exchange is to be agreed between the both parts according to their specific needs.
