Izolyatsia is a nonprofit, non-governmental platform for contemporary culture founded in 2010 on the site of a former insulation materials factory in Donetsk, Ukraine. On June 9, 2014, the territory was seized by the militia of the self-proclaimed “Donetsk People’s Republic”. The name Izolyatsia is inherited from the former factory. The Izolyatsia foundation carries out projects in Kyiv, in Eastern Ukraine and abroad. It has three intertwined directions of activity: art, education, and projects geared at activating Ukraine’s creative sector.

In 2014 Izolyatsia established a new cultural centre, IZONE, in a an old shipyard building in Kyiv.
IZONE is a creative community which located in a 4 storey building comprised of mixed assets such as exhibition space, lecture room, conference/meeting places, concert/performance venue, maker space, studios, shop, café, and indoor/outdoor communal spaces.

Izolyatsia is a platform for cultural initiatives and a multidisciplinary cultural project open to all genres of creative expression. It is a point of intersection for all those passionate about cultural and social change.

Visual art/exhibitions, community projects, discussions/lectures, artists in residency, educational programmes, co-working space.
