Organisational Development Session in Innsbruck

The Merits and Limits of Organic Organising

For the last century, a mechanistic way of thinking was the role model from which we built our organizations. This approach led to a lot of prosperity and productivity, but also to a lot of alienation and exploitation of humans and nature. We believe it is time for a change, time for a more organic approach to organising. As culture centres, we have already been advocating for humanistic values in society. This should not only be represented in our programmes, but also in the way we run our organisations.

We invite you to the culture center Die Bäckerei – Kulturbackstube in the Alps to participate in a meeting where we will unpack how an organic organisational system can enhance a culture center both from inside and out. We will share insights from experts in the field of humanistic organising, and enjoy creative workshops on the methods implemented at Die Bäckerei.

Preliminary programme

We are excited to develop the programme that will be most inspiring and helpful to our participants. See what we have so far…

A few words about the host

Die Bäckerei is an independent cultural centre from Innsbruck, Austria. As a dynamic space, it brings together aspects of communication, production, and presentation. Die Bäckerei is a space that cannot be precisely defined but is created by its users, the dynamic core of the facility.

The participants of the session will be able to learn more about the centre and its work during their stay.
