Moving in, Moving on: TEH Startup Support Programme Publication #5 Featuring: Korpus in Minsk, Belarus

TEH Startup Support Programme is a training programme that we have designed to provide support to selected emerging non-governmental cultural centres across Europe. Through this programme, we aim to share our knowledge and experience with new initiatives that emerge in regions and countries where neither civil society nor critical artistic production is encouraged. We believe that these initiatives have the potential to become exciting cultural and artistic hubs responsible for nurturing civic agency in their communities.

The beneficiary countries in 2018-2019 were Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine. Three centres from the region participated in the programme. Here you can find our fifth Startup Support Programme publication featuring Korpus from Minsk, Belarus.

Korpus is an independent, open cultural space. It is located in the former electronics and home appliances factory ‘Horizont’. The centre strives to create conditions for development, exchange and interaction for the representatives of the cultural and creative sector, civil society and business. They are passionate and driven by the desire to bring social change. They believe in the potential of grassroots initiatives and ideas to reshape the city and create a new cultural history.

Here is the full report on Korpus. It provides deeper insights into the development of the organisation, its current state and future ambitions.

As a part of the TEH Startup Support Programme, Oksana Sarzhevska-Kravchenko held a strategic workshop on organisational development with the Korpus’s team. You can find the workshop report here.

If you are interested to learn more about the benefits of the programme and the impressions of the participants, check out short feedback from Korpus themselves.

The Startup Support Programme is part of the project Factories of Imagination, which is co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union.
