Petr ProkopCultural venue Vzlet is situated in the building from 1921. Originally a movie theater, the space a culture centre with a wide program varying from community events, after-school-activities, small exhibitions, concerts of classical and alternative music to theater, dance, and performance art. We collaborate with local artists, communities, students, professional, and would like to dive more into international co-productions. We have our own productions and we also co-produce with Czech artists.

What makes the organisation unique ?

Culture venue of such kind is unique in Prague – most of the venues are oriented to certain kind of art (either theater, or dance, or music). A mix of genres opens the space for the locals (we are not in the center of the city), but is interesting for broader number of audience. Regular collaboration with arts students brings us young audience, projects with seniors attract elderly audience, etc.
