Engine Room Europe
Engine Room Europe was a three-year programme funded by the EC Cultural Programme and dedicated to independent cultural workers and their creative processes. It was the biggest project ever organised by Trans Europe Halles. Coordinated by Melkweg (Amsterdam, The Netherlands) and co-organised by 10 TEH members, Engine Roome Europe offered a wide variety of activities dedicated to mobility and capacity building.
The project was initiated by Trans Europe Halles (TEH) and co-ordinated by Melkweg (Amsterdam, The Netherlands) in association with 10 co-organizing TEH members: Factory of Art (Lódź, Poland), Mains D’Oeuvres (St Ouen, France), Stanica (Žilina, Slovakia), ufaFabrik (Berlin, Germany), TNT (Bordeaux, France), REX (Belgrade, Serbia), NOASS (Riga, Latvia), Röda Sten Konsthallen (Göteborg, Sweden), La Friche Belle de Mai (Marseille, France) and Tabačka Kulturfabrik (Košice, Slovakia). As part of Engine Room Europe, the 12 co‐organisers offered a wide variety of programmes, and an online TEH Resource has compiled the outputs of the project and spread educational points and know-how from the programmes.
