Ambassadors of Do-ocracy and Participatory Design was an exchange program between Trans Europe Halles, three cultural centers founded on principles of do-ocracy and participatory design, and research network Edgeryders. Centers based on doocracy and participation decentralize decision making and have different needs than centers with centrally curated programs. These centers were Blivande in Stockholm, Institute for X in Aarhus and FÚSK in Reykjavik (not a TEH member). In this session we share and discuss what this network learned during the three embassy programs at each of the three centers in 2021 and 2022. What are the hallmarks of emerging participatory cultural hubs, and how do they fit into the ecosystem of TEH cultural centers?
