Our initiative supporting members in need
We have re-activated the TEH Solidarity Fund to collect donations for our member Tiro Arts Association from Southern Lebanon.
Since the Israeli attacks, Tiro team have turned their spaces in Tripoli, Tyre and in Beirut into shelters for families fleeing from the South.
They would be happy for any support we can offer.
The TEH Solidarity Fund was launched in March 2022, after Russian invasion of Ukraine and the start of full-scale war.
The main purpose of the fund was to collect support for our members from Ukraine, their families and colleagues. Anyone within the membership or even beyond could donate if they wanted to show solidarity with Ukrainian peers and support their work on the ground.
We also started a small campaign - 'Art of Giving' - to encourage more donations to the fund.
'Art of Giving' was a series of events by TEH members and TEH Coordination Office that strived to create awareness and raise funds for the victims of the war in Ukraine.
Members were free to organise what they wanted and in the ways, they thought could be most attractive and useful for their local communities, from a film screening to a rave or a live concert.
Through the TEH Solidarity Fund campaign for Ukraine we managed to collect more than 16 000 euros and supported 9 member centres. All the donations have been made and the results have been shared with the members during TEH general assemblies.
If your centre is under threat or in a crisis situation, and you would like to discuss how we could use the TEH Solidarity Fund to support you, please contact our Member Relations Manager, Femi!
