We are launching a new bottom-up programme dedicated to wellbeing and mental health of cultural workers from independent centres. This programme aims to support 15 TEH members across Europe to improve resilence and wellbeing of their teams.

Why we are doing this?

In the times of crisis it is especially hard to maintain your health. Insecure situations, longer periods of stress, and other external factors can affect your physical and mental condition. The cultural sector is one of the most vulnerable while also resilient. Trans Europe Halles is a solidarity network that offers support to its members in good and bad times. With the wellbeing hours programme we facilitate 15 centres to host a small scale wellbeing session with their own staff and or local community.  

Trans Europe Halles is also partners in Culture for Health project that explores relationship between arts and culture. Culture For Health responds to the objective of the Preparatory Action – Bottom-Up Policy Development for Culture & Well-being in the EU which is to facilitate the exchange of knowledge, experience and success stories in the EU related to the role of culture for well-being and health, map the most relevant existing practises, carry out a set of work on the ground and provide policy recommendations on the topic. How does it work?

One full member from each country can participate. If more applications from one country are applying we will consider their application but might give priority to centres based in other locations. The chosen participants will be expected to host a wellbeing training/ session between November- December 2022.

What is expected from members?

  • Offer the space 
  • Look for a artist/coach in your community
  • Facilitate catering (if needed)
  • Promote the event 
  • Arrange ticket sales (optional) 

What will TEH Office do?

  • Promotes the overall programme via the TEH channels in English 
  • Offers a flat fee for the artist/coach of 750 EUR incl VAT.  

 What is expected of a coach/ artist?

  • Send pictures and report to THE office 
  • Send invoice to TEH office
