ufaFabrik

Starting as a squat in 1979, the ufaFabrik today is a green cultural oasis in Tempelhof, Berlin – a space for creation, culture, sustainability and innovative ideas. The 18,600m2 grounds that were once home to the UFA film lab are now open all year round, offering artistic productions, community activities and ecological projects. The ufaFabrik’s unique and inclusive programme attracts more than 200,000 visitors per year.

Approximately 30 residents and over 180 employees come together to live, work, and share their cultural, creative, and social lifestyle with one another here. Internationality, sustainability, self-reliance, and self-realisation have always been the ideals of ufaFabrik, and the way in which members not only approach each other, but their neighbours as well –since long before ‘work-life balance’, ‘networking’ and ‘sustainability’ were the hot cultural buzzwords.
