Unravelling Tacit Knowledge - Rebuilding To Last
A set of existing good practices
This publication is the second in the series developed within the Rebuilding to Last project and follows up on the first one. It presents concrete strategies of cultural regeneration developed by TEH members.
There are 24 strategies in total, divided into four main themes:
Matters Matter
deals with strategies addressing the radical reuse of materials and built assets, and (re)distribution of matter and space in service of local communities
Out of the Box
gathers strategies of 'unconventional' approach to planning, urbanism and architecture that thwart expectations and known codes. It offers real-life examples of how centres can use their knowledge to reinvent regulations for the benefit of the project they initiate.
Time, Time, Time
aims to give a glimpse of projects with multiple and open approaches to time, from ‘short-term’ projects capable of having a strong impact in a very short time to particularly ‘visionary’ and far-reaching projects capable of projecting themselves over long or very long time horizons.
New Coexistences
address strategies that actively contribute to a redefinition of the divides that modern rationality has constructed between the cultural and the natural.
